Chinna was a little boy who lived in a village. He studied in grade 4. He was a bright boy who liked to read storybooks and learn new things.

चिन्ना एक छोटा लड़का था जो एक गाँव में रहता था। वह कक्षा 4 में पढ़ता था। वह एक होशियार लड़का था जिसे कहानी की किताबें पढ़ना और नई चीजें सीखना पसंद था।

He had many friends with whom he played. But most of all, he loved to play with his little pet "kid" named Tara.

उसके बहुत सारे दोस्त थे जिनके साथ वह खेलता था। लेकिन सबसे ज्यादा उसे अपने छोटे पालतू बच्चे (बकरी के बच्चे) तारा के साथ खेलना पसंद था।

Tara was a five-month-old kid, milky white in colour. One day, while coming back from school, Chinna stopped at Chacha's shop.

तारा पाँच महीने का बकरी का बच्चा था, जो दूध जैसा सफेद था। एक दिन स्कूल से लौटते समय चिन्ना चाचा की दुकान पर रुक गया।

He saw a pair of beautiful, shiny tinkling bells. He went inside the shop and politely asked the shopkeeper to show him the tinkling bells.

उसने सुंदर और चमकदार बजने वाली घंटियों की एक जोड़ी देखी। वह दुकान के अंदर गया और विनम्रता से दुकानदार से घंटियाँ दिखाने को कहा।

"Ten rupees please," Chacha said. Chinna liked the bells a lot. He put his hand in his pocket to take out the money.

"दस रुपये दीजिए," चाचा ने कहा। चिन्ना को घंटियाँ बहुत पसंद आईं। उसने पैसे निकालने के लिए जेब में हाथ डाला।

He was shocked to find that his money was missing. He searched all his pockets but couldn't find the money. Feeling sad, he returned the bells and began walking home.

उसे यह देखकर बहुत आश्चर्य हुआ कि उसके पैसे गायब थे। उसने अपनी सारी जेबें खोजीं लेकिन पैसे नहीं मिले। दुखी होकर उसने घंटियाँ वापस कर दीं और घर की ओर चल पड़ा।

Chinna reached home. He removed his shoes and placed them in the corner. He went inside and dropped his school bag on the table.

चिन्ना घर पहुँचा। उसने अपने जूते उतारकर एक कोने में रख दिए। वह अंदर गया और अपना स्कूल बैग मेज पर रख दिया।

He sat on the chair and rested his head on the table. His mother Kamala came to him and asked gently, "What happened, Chinna?"

वह कुर्सी पर बैठ गया और अपना सिर मेज पर रख लिया। उसकी माँ कमला उसके पास आईं और धीरे से पूछा, "क्या हुआ, चिन्ना?"

Kamala laid her hands softly on his shoulders. Chinna hugged her and started crying. After a while, he told her about the missing money.

कमला ने उसके कंधों पर प्यार से हाथ रखा। चिन्ना उनसे लिपट गया और रोने लगा। कुछ देर बाद उसने उन्हें पैसे खो जाने की बात बताई।

Kamala consoled him, "It's okay, don't cry. I'll give you money to buy the bells. But be careful in the future."

कमला ने उसे समझाया, "ठीक है, मत रोओ। मैं तुम्हें घंटियाँ खरीदने के लिए पैसे दूँगी, लेकिन आगे से सावधान रहना।"

Kamala and Chinna went to the market. They bought apples, mangoes, tomatoes and brinjals. They also stopped at the pineapple stall.

कमला और चिन्ना बाजार गए। उन्होंने सेब, आम, टमाटर और बैंगन खरीदे। वे अनानास की दुकान पर भी रुके।

"Forty-five rupees each," said the fruit seller. Kamala gave a hundred-rupee note and asked Chinna to take the change.

"एक अनानास पैंतालीस रुपये का है," फलवाले ने कहा। कमला ने सौ रुपये का नोट दिया और चिन्ना से बाकी पैसे लेने को कहा।

The fruit seller gave Chinna two ten-rupee notes. Chinna ran to his mother and said he got ten rupees extra.

फलवाले ने चिन्ना को दो दस रुपये के नोट दिए। चिन्ना अपनी माँ के पास दौड़ा और बताया कि उसे दस रुपये ज्यादा मिल गए हैं।

"Can I buy bells and chocolates?" he asked. Kamala said, "That is stealing. How did you feel when your money was lost?"

"क्या मैं घंटियाँ और चॉकलेट खरीद सकता हूँ?" उसने पूछा। कमला ने कहा, "यह चोरी है। जब तुम्हारे पैसे खो गए थे तो तुम्हें कैसा लगा था?"

"I felt sad and angry," Chinna replied. Kamala said the fruit seller would feel the same.

"मुझे दुख और गुस्सा आया था," चिन्ना ने कहा। कमला ने कहा कि फलवाले को भी ऐसा ही लगेगा।

 Chinna understood and ran back to return the money. The fruit seller was very happy and praised him.

चिन्ना समझ गया और पैसे लौटाने के लिए वापस दौड़ा। फलवाला बहुत खुश हुआ और उसकी ईमानदारी की प्रशंसा की।

Kamala felt proud and took him to buy the bells. Chinna paid ten rupees and happily walked home.

कमला को उस पर गर्व हुआ और वह उसे घंटियाँ खरीदने ले गईं। चिन्ना ने दस रुपये दिए और खुशी-खुशी घर लौट आया।

Hearing the bells, Tara came running. Chinna tied the bells around her neck happily.

घंटियों की आवाज सुनकर तारा दौड़ती हुई आई। चिन्ना ने खुशी-खुशी उसके गले में घंटियाँ बांध दीं।
